A Letter to the Woman Within: The Best You
“There is a vitality, a life force, an energy, a quickening that is translated through you into action, and because there is only one of you in all time, this expression is unique. And if you block it, it will never exist through any other medium and will be lost.”
― Martha Graham
Take a moment to think about your current reality—hold a mirror up and reflect on what is.
Everything in your life is a result of your thoughts, decisions and actions. The woman you are today, you created.
Why is it you don't feel like yourself? How did this happen?
How is it you feel a deep guttural misalignment at your core?
The restlessness within is because you were conditioned. You were taught as a young girl what was expected of you—what was "acceptable" what was "safe" what was "right".
You learned to be less of yourself.
You were made to believe you were too much or perhaps not enough and so began a life of minimizing yourself.
Take heart—your truest most beautiful self is still there.
You see, true and lasting personal development is not about doing more. It shouldn't feel like striving. It shouldn't feel like fixing—for you are not broken.
You are here reading this post at this very moment because you are courageous enough to recognize you have been numbing yourself and you're not okay with it.
You know you are meant for more.
If you want to be a different version of yourself, then be.
Choose to stop feeling like a product of your circumstances and imagine how different life would be if you actively created the most authentic and abundant version of yourself.
To create is to “bring something into existence”. It is to be intentional and deliberate.
Commit to remembering once again who you are and be brave enough to follow that calling.
How to Be the Best You
- Listen to the tugging of your heart.
Your desires are not accidental. If it was given to you, you are meant to bring it to life.
What makes you feel alive? What have you been wanting to do?
Carve out the time to pursue your dreams. Take small, imperfect and consistent action.
Imagine what the highest version of yourself would look like.
Really envision that woman in full detail.
How would she dress? How would she smell? How would she carry herself?
Then, start prioritizing your self-care. When you show up looking your best, you will be at your best.
Evaluate your beliefs.
That woman you imagined—what beliefs does she hold about herself?
How does she see the world around her?
What is her mindset about her capabilities, the amount of money she earns and what is possible for her?
What impact would these beliefs have on the way she showed up in life?
"We need to reshape our own perception of how we view ourselves. We have to step up as women and take the lead."
Get clear with what you want.
If you feel a sense of unfulfillment—like life is happening to you—it may be because you haven't decided.
You will continue to feel this way until you become intentional with what it is you want to achieve.
Stop saying you don't know what you want. By not deciding and defining goals, you are deciding to stay stuck.
Take a step back from the pace of everyday life and get specific with your desires.
Journal what it is you want to create in the areas of wealth, health and relationships—make these goals measurable and time-based.
Once you have clarity, your focused intention will bring you a newfound sense of peace as your actions become purposeful.
You'll stop feeling like you are sleep walking through life.
You have one life of which you have 100% left and you can rewrite the ending.
You get to decide what you believe about yourself.
Right now at this moment, you can decide to replace the beliefs that are not serving you.
Choose again and choose instead. Choose instead beliefs that are in alignment with your high-value self and then act accordingly.
It's time to stop dimming your light.
She is within you, waiting to be awakened.
Get back into the power seat of your life and design a reality that is the fullest expression of the most beautiful version of yourself.
I commend you for being open to rediscovering your essence.
It's not always easy to honor your intuition, but it is worth it.
Wonderful things are ahead. I am so excited for you.
